Made from natural stone taken from deposits in the ground, sea, rivers or crushed from quarry won material. It comes in many different grades but most commonly 4-10mm (known as pea shingle) or 10-20mm. Shingle is used for road and pathway surfacing, drainage and for bedding pipes. It can be blended to make concrete and sometimes shingles are used in landscaping or driveways to be to provide a decorative finish. We keep regular stock of 4/10mm and 10/20mm primary limestone as well flint gravel in our yard in Grantham. We can supply it bagged nationwide and we supply loose in bulk in and around the midlands.
